Day 1

Arrived in Cuenca
Lunch with our Spanish siblings
Pretty good: 4 stars.

Went to the park next.
Hung around and talked about
Their life and culture

Some were exhausted.
They went back to the hotel
For a siesta.

Walked around Cuenca
Through the old part of the town
The views were muy guay!

Stopped to eat dinner
We had tasty sandwiches
With our newest friends.

Next, we watched Kubo,
A Spanish movie, at a
small outdoor screening.

Day 2

Morning in kayaks,
Racing and splashing around
Chilling in the sun.

Burgers by a pool
For lunch afterwards: 4 stars.
And then we just chilled.

Fun night on the town
Boys went out and shared tapas
The girls did as well.

Day 3

Late morning wake up
Before we saw abstract act,
Twas very abstract.

Then we walked to lunch
At a great small restaurant
Yum! 4.5 stars.

Escaped from the heat
For a nice afternoon nap
And woke up refreshed.

Fiesta-ed that night
And met our host parents too.
It was a good time.

My brother and I
Are the undisputed champs
When it comes to darts.

Day 4

Daystays are unique.
I can’t speak for the whole group
But mine was so fun.

My family was great.
A true highlight of my trip
Was my time with them.

All the kids met up
And partied to music both
English and Spanish.

Then walked around town
Taking in the sights and sounds
Seeing the nightlife.

Day 5

Another daystay
I can’t speak for the whole group,
But again, so fun.

Met up by a pool
Some kids jumped in to cool off
Some others sunbathed.

Dinner in a mall
We ate Italian food
Pretty good: 4 stars.

Back to the hotel
Right away after we ate
We needed to sleep.

Day 6

Valencia! Wow!
We walked around the city
Led by our siblings.

I was forced to shop.
My Hawaiian shirt is sick,
No regrets at all.

I love paella.
That was lunch. Delicious. De-
Lightful. Delovely.

We went to the beach
And chilled out in the sand next.
I slept the whole time.

The drive back was long,
But the memories will last
A lifetime maybe.

Took a quick shower
And felt rejuvenated.
It was refreshing.

One final dinner
Before we had to say bye
Capped off the evening.

We went for pizza
We walked to the park after
And talked for a bit.

Alas it ended
With farewells, but promises
To stay in contact.

We all went to bed
Sad to be leaving our friends.
¡Adios Cuenca!

Day 7

Late morning wakeup
And then breakfast and packing
And on to the bus.

On to Granada.
The next stop on our journey.
